What do I get?

• Intro to Python: In this opening module, you’ll get to know the Ironhack team, your teachers and your fellow ironhackers. As you settle into your new community, you’ll set up your development environment and review the results of your prework. Then it’s off to the races — with introductions to data wrangling and cleaning, APIs and web scraping as well as developing intermediate Git, SQL and Python skills. During the last week of the module, you will put your new Python, API connection, and web scraping skills to the test! In your first project, you will create an entirely new data set that no one has ever used before. You will then share it with your classmates by saving it in an SQL database. Time to get a taste for the real work of a data analyst! Advanced Python: Through this module, you will take a deeper look into the mathematics behind . Use Python to develop an understanding of inferential statistics and probability, as well as business intelligence fundamentals. After, you will learn storytelling presentation techniques to visualize your data and insights. A complete analysis from real data sets. In this module’s last week, you will develop your second project: a complete analysis of real data sets that you will have processed, cleaned and visualized! Fundamentals of Machine Learning: This final module will introduce you to the fundamentals of machine learning. You’ll develop an understanding of the machine learning workflow, both supervised and unsupervised learning, and the essentials of popular machine learning algorithms. Then you will build, train and evaluate models by learning to use the scikit-learn machine learning library. Make predictions on real data sets. At the end of the module, you will know how to build an end-to-end machine learning project. You will process a data set, extract features, train a model and use that model to make predictions on new data. By the end of this module, you will be prepared to apply machine learning to real-world data sets!

What do I need?

• A background in mathematics or programming is certainly useful, we don’t require our students to have any existing qualifications or skills in either beyond the high school level
• However, you will need a sincere interest in both programming and statistics
• As is true for all Ironhack courses, you’ll need to be ready to push yourself and not hesitate to work with your teachers and teaching assistants — this is the only way you can get the most out of the course.
