What do I get?

• This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment). ​ The qualification is perfect if you have intensions of moving into roles such as an Apprenticeship Assessor or other work-based or course assessing capacity. At NCCE we focus on the development of childcare assessors and you will have the opportunity to complete live assessments with our learners.

What do I need?

• This qualification includes theory and practical
• You must be able to demonstrate assessment practices with at least two learners, covering a range of knowledge and competency assessment methods
• You may work with your own students if you have them, or we can provide you the opportunity to shadow our assessors on their assessment visits and perform some assessments at this time
• Please note, if you wish to choose the latter option, you must have a current DBS check.
